House Rules

1. No parties, events, or ceremonies without prior approval. Extra charges and conditions may apply.

    

2. No pets allowed.

3. Noise policy: Quiet hours are 8:30pm – 9:00 am. No outdoor music is permitted during this time, and all noise must be kept at a respectful level to avoid disturbing other guests, neighbours, or wildlife.

    

4. Remove footwear at the entrance; no shoes are permitted inside the cabins.

    

5. No parking on the grass.

    

6. No glitter, sparkles, or confetti—they are polluting and difficult to clean.

    

7. Dishes must be washed before checkout.

    

8. Furniture may not be moved without approval.

    

9. No smoking indoors. Designated outdoor smoking areas with ashtrays are provided.

    

10. Septic system care: Folk Tree Lodge runs on a septic system. To keep it working properly, please reduce the amount of toilet paper flushed and do not flush anything else (wipes, feminine products, paper towels, etc.). Bins are provided in each bathroom for disposal.

     

11. Fires must never be left unattended.

12. Visiting guests (day visitors): Please confirm with us in advance if you wish to invite additional guests. Each cabin can safely accommodate only a set number of people. Additional charges may apply.

    Reservations, Deposits & Cancellations

    • Deposit: A 25% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining 75% balance is required 30 days prior to arrival.

       

    • Cancellations (90 days in advance): Deposits are non-refundable. After deducting a $50 cancellation fee, the balance will be held as a credit under your name, which may be applied to a future booking of equal or greater value (not to existing reservations).

       

    • Cancellations (Less than 90 days in advance): The deposit is non-refundable and cannot be applied as credit toward a future booking.

       

    • Rebooked stays: If a rebooked reservation is cancelled again, the deposit will be forfeited.

       

    • Lodge cancellations: Folk Tree Lodge reserves the right to cancel any reservation up to 30 days before arrival with a full refund of your deposit.

    Check-In & Check-Out

    • Beaver & Deer House: Check-in 4:00pm | Check-out 11:00am

       

    • Little Red House: Check-in 3:00pm | Check-out 10:00am

       

    • Late check-outs must be approved at least one day prior to departure.

       

    • Guests are responsible for leaving the cabin in a reasonably clean and tidy condition.

Guest Responsibilities

• Only the agreed number of guests may occupy the cabin(s). Each unit has a safe capacity limit.

   

• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

   

• Guests must respect the property, the wilderness environment, and the local community.

   

• Damages, complaints, or maintenance issues should be reported promptly.

   

• Guests are responsible for the cost of damages, which will be charged to the credit card on file.

   

• Folk Tree Lodge is not responsible for weather, road conditions, travel disruptions, power outages, or other events beyond our control.

   

• Folk Tree Lodge is not liable for injury, loss, damages, accidents, or expenses incurred during your stay.

   

Final Notes

• All policies are subject to change at any time, at our sole discretion and without notice.

   

• Any violation of these policies may result in additional charges.
